While Gothic is a label that comes closest to describing my outlook and philosophies, my use of it should not be confused with the modern music and clothing-based stereotype. My interests more closely follow the Romantic movement, a group of related artistic, literary, political, philosophical and social trends that developed during the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
My other interests include The Dark and the Romantic (clothing, books, art, music, people, you name it), history, disasters (natural and unnatural), endurance sports (marathon, adventure racing, etc.), winter time, the Pacific Northwest, severe weather, and travel. - Signe Balance
